Ganjuran is the area that is part of Alas Mentaok. Its existence is not separated by a region in the Annals of Java and it's known as a Land Lipura . In this Lipura Panembahan Senopati has done and got a spiritual attitude (wisik) to establish Mataram Palace. Panembahan Senopati did meditation an praying in this place. The place is now famous for its legacy in the form of a box-shaped stone called Watu Gilang. Watu Gilang Headquarters are located in the hamlet Janggan, Gilangharjo, Bambanglipuro, Bantul.

Panembahan Senopati originally had no intention of establishing the Mataram Government Royal Palace where he did meditation and praying. But this Janggan village lies not so much with Mangir region.Therefore Pemanahan advised Panembahan Senopati not to set up court in Gilangharjo.
